On Saturday we went to an English "football match": Fulham vs. Portsmouth at Fulham's home stadium, called Craven Cottage. We were rooting for Fulham because they have a former New England Revolution player, Clint Dempsey, on their team. We sat in the FIRST ROW just to one side of one of the goals!! When the action was on our side of the field the players were only about 10 feet away from us!! In the first half we saw Fulham score on the other goal. Portsmouth had some shots but none went in. We tried some traditional British sausage rolls at half time - they were yummy! During the second half, lots of the action was down near us. We saw Fulham score twice more down on our end of the field. The first goal was a break away and the second, scored by the same player, ended with a celebration right in front of our seats! Fulham won 3-1!

Hey guys!!! Hows the snow?? Yes! I have read about it and it is very exciting! Did you know that's the most snow London has seen in 18 years?! Thats older than me! I hope you guys have had a good snow day! (we haven't had any storms in a while) In western civilization, one of my classes, we do this thing called current events. We have to find 1 (2 if you want a backup) articles that are in the same area of countries we have, and are, studying, and write a reaction to it. Then we have to present our reaction to the class, and there can be no article repeats. And I am doing the UK storm for my current event!
The soccer, excuse me, football game sounded great, I really wish I was there. While you were watching soccer, we were watching the superbowl, and as you probably know, the Steelers won. My dad did this betting thing where he had to pick a team out of a hat from the beginnning of the playoffs, and he got the steelers, so he won 70.00$ and we're going to flatbreads! James Harrison (defense guy on the steelers) caught the ball that was supposed to be thrown to a cardinal 1 foot away from their touchdown line. From there he sprinted 100 yards, dodging and jumping over people the whole time, and scored a touchdown. It was the longest run in superbowl history! I hope you guys are having a great time in London and we miss you a lot!

That's great that you got to see another soccer match in Europe. It's quite a bit different over there. I didn't realize you were a Revs fan Malcolm. Did Dempsey play much in the match?
You must of had alot of fun getting to sit in the first row at a european soccer game. That must of been so cool when you saw Fulham celebrate after they scored.I hope you're having a good time in Europe. - Matt
